Faith and Foxholes Webcast Launched--Dispatch August 26, 2010
In May 2010, the Hebraic Section, African and Middle Eastern Division, and the Veterans History Project, American Folklife Center of the Library of Congress presented a talk by Rabbi Arnold E. Resnicoff on his experiences as a chaplain in the U.S. Navy. The talk was titled “Faith and Foxholes: Religion in the Military” and is presently available on the Library’s webcast page.

Rabbi Resnicoff is a decorated retired military officer and chaplain and a consultant on leadership, values, and interreligious affairs to military and civilian leaders. Rabbi Resnicoff told his story to the Veterans History Project. He subsequently began to conduct interviews on the Project’s behalf.
The Mission of the Veterans History Project of the Library of Congress American Folklife Center is to collect, preserve, and make accessible the personal accounts of America’s war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.
