MIT Physicists Use Offshoot of String Theory to Describe Puzzling Behavior of Superconductors
Fri, 13 Aug 2010 11:17:00 -0500MIT physicists have now used the connection between quantum and gravitational mechanics, known as gauge/gravity duality, to describe a specific physical phenomenon--the behavior of a type of high-temperature superconductor, or a material that conducts electricity with no resistance.
